Banana Peanut

Well right away banana and peanut butter are two weakenesses of mine so this might be slightly biased. You can taste both flavours quite strongly and it’s essentially just a sweeter banana & peanut butter smoothie. I’m not complaining about that certainly, but it might not be everybody’s cup of tea.

Texturally it’s quite interesting. It has roughly pea-sized chunks of both banana and (smooth) peanut butter so its consistently interesting to drink. This does pose something of a problem for the straw, but surprisingly it actually didn’t just get clogged with peanut butter immediately. Maybe the peanut butter was chilled/frozen beforehand, or maybe it’s just a variety that’s a bit less sticky.

What did happen immediately however, is that it overflowed. And since it was served with no plate and no serviettes, that was…inelegant…to clean up, but ultimately not the end of the world. In their defense I was at least provided with a spoon, handy for getting those peanut butter blobs when your cheeks are too tired to get them through the straw.

I count it a missed opportunity that they didn’t have some crushed peanuts or something sprinkled over the top! A little crunch would have gone a long way.
