Oreo & Strawberry

This shake is advertised as a “Strawberry and Oreo” milkshake and it succeeds fairly well in being both of those things, but separately.

The shake itself is basically a good strawberry milkshake. It tastes quite strongly of strawberry and has good, creamy consistency.

On the Oreo-end of things, there is obviously the whole biscuit shown in the photo but the shake also has Oreo crumbs mixed into it. The crumbs add some nice texture but I didn’t get much flavour from them. I expect this is partly because they’re just small but also partly because strawberry flavour comes through so strongly and overpowers whatever subtle tastes the crumbs may otherwise have had.

While this photo is definitely lower-quality than I’d like (apologies!), it does do a good job of demonstrating exactly why I complain about restaurants not serving milkshakes on plates. You can imagine how unpleasant that would have been here but thankfully Gibson’s knows what they’re doing!
